1. Click on the "Mysteries" tab above and read the overview of each mystery. Choose which mystery you
will research by deciding which one interests you most.
2. Explore various credible sources for your topic, including the electronic resources provided on the
"Mysteries" page. You should also consult print materials (books, magazines, newspapers, etc.).
3. As you learned in class, create a properly formatted Source Card (3"x5") for each new source you
consult; take notes using the correct format on your Note Cards (4"x6"). You should have at least 3 Source
Cards and 15 Note Cards to turn in with your final research report.
4. Go back to the "Task" description and check to see that, in your note-taking process, you have answered
the major questions regarding your chosen mystery. If you haven't, do some more research.
5. Using this handout provided for you, create a detailed outline for your research report based on
   the notes you have taken.
6. Based on your outline, write a rough draft of your report. Be sure to cite your sources properly to avoid
   plagiarism.
7. Participate in a peer review session for your report.
8. Engage in a one-on-one writing conference with your teacher based on your rough draft.
9. Consider all the constructive criticism you have received about your rough draft, and use it to help you
   write an awesome final draft.
10. Publish your final draft and present your findings to "History's Mysteries."
