For Teachers

Here are all the associated documents for this project that were given to students. I've also organized everything in the order of the days we completed these tasks. Our students are on a 90-minute block schedule.

Day 1 (With Laptops)

On the first day, students completed a basic "Scavenger Hunt" for information regarding the project expectations; this activity allowed them to familiarize themselves with the WebQuest format. Once they had completed the hunt, they were instructed to go to the "Mysteries" tab and explore all 12 mysteries before choosing their final topic. On the flip side of the "Scavenger Hunt," students listed their topic, what interested them about their topic, three questions they had about it, and two new things they learned that day.

Day 2 (Without Laptops)

On the second day, students focused on learning how to find and document sources correctly. We approached this from several directions: students first watched a few BrainPop videos ("Citing Sources," "Online Sources," and "Plagiarism") and completed a partial outline with notes on the videos.
